Air Travel to Trinidad & Tobago

Trinidad and Tobago are islands located in the southern Caribbean, off the coast of Venezuela. Though not as developed for tourism as other islands in the Caribbean, Trinidad and Tobago are still fascinating places to visit by airplane.
  1. Geography

    • According to Lonely Planet, both islands have airports that work with international carriers but most flights reach and leave the region via Trinidad.

    Airports

    • The two major airports are Crown Point International Airport on Tobago and Piarco International Airport located near Port of Spain on Trinidad.

    Carriers

    • Airlines that service the region include LIAT, Caribbean Airlines, Delta, Continental and Air Canada.

    Documents

    • All visitors to Trinidad and Tobago will need a passport to enter. You will also need to fill out an Immigration Arrival Card.

    Tax

    • All visitors leaving the region must also pay a departure tax, according to Lonely Planet. This tax is roughly equal to $16US.
