Where is the magadha situated?

The ancient kingdom of Magadha was situated in the eastern part of the Indian subcontinent, in what is now the state of Bihar, India. Its capital was Pataliputra, which is present-day Patna. Magadha played a prominent role in ancient Indian history and was the center of power for several major empires, including the Mauryan Empire and the Gupta Empire.
