• 2021: avg 2.12 persons

Drivers:

• Fewer children – 1.59 kids/woman (2021) vs. 2.5 (1960).
• More single-person households – 40.7% (2021) vs. 21.5% (1961), due to aging, delayed marriage, child-free choices.

Result: smaller, more diverse households—a trend expected to continue.
