There are no Carrefour stores in Italy. The French retail giant withdrew from the Italian market in 2012, selling its ~50 hypermarkets and supermarkets to local chains (mainly Gruppo Carrefour Italia → rebranded as Carrefour Italia franchisees, then largely converted to Conad, Esselunga, Coop, or Penny Market).
Italian grocery retail is dominated by domestic groups: Conad, Coop, Esselunga, Selex (Famila, A&O), Eurospin, Lidl, MD, Penny Market. Carrefour-brand products may appear as imports in specialty sections, but no Carrefour-branded stores exist.
