What the percentage of people who have tried to escape Berlin wall?

According to estimates from the Berlin Wall Memorial, at least 5,000 people attempted to cross the Berlin Wall. Of those, more than 3,000 people are known to have successfully escaped, while hundreds were arrested or killed in the process.
