Listen carefully as you walk the streets around the Trevi Fountain, or the Fontana di Trevi, in Italian. As you get nearer, the sound of its flowing water gets increasingly louder until in the square the rushing water blends with the shrieks of tourists and locals at play around this baroque masterpiece. Stroll the square at Piazza del Popolo in search of fountains. Central to the square is the Obelisk fountain, built by Giacomo della Porta and featuring an Egyptian-style obelisk at the center of the monument.
