Transavia also operates flights from cities in the Netherlands, including Amsterdam and Rotterdam.
Travel by road to Palamos. Girona-Costa Brava Airport is approximately a one-hour drive west of Palamos. According to the airport's operator, Aena Aeropuertos, S.A., a taxi from the airport to Palamos costs approximately 60 Euro during daytime trips and 65 Euro during nights and weekends, as of July 2011. You can also rent a car from the airport. Car rental agencies at the airport include Hertz and Europcar.
Fly to Barcelona. As of July 2011, flights to over 180 cities around the world are available from Barcelona-El Prat Airport. From the United States, American Airlines and Delta Air Lines operate flights to Barcelona from New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport. Delta also provides flights from Atlanta, while Continental offers services from Newark.
Travel by train to Cercanias station in Barcelona. Line R2 of the Renfe suburban train travels to the Cercanias, which is within walking distance of the Estacio del Nord bus station. As of July 2011, trains operate every 30 minutes from the airport between 5:42 a.m. and 11:38 p.m.
Walk to the Estacio del Nord. From the train station, which is located at the Arc de Triomf in Barcelona, walk two blocks east to the bus station. Buses to Palamos depart daily from the Estacio del Nord.
Travel by bus to Palamos. Bus services operated by Safra provide direct connections to Palamos every hour. As of July 2011, buses operated from 6:45 a.m. to 8:45 p.m. The travel time to Palamos is approximately one hour and 40 minutes.
