The clear, gentle water lapping at 500 feet of warm white sand in this picturesque cove at the southernmost point of Costa Teguise makes El Ancla a prime location for travelers looking for a spot to relax. The rocky sea bed is home to a multitude of sea life, and the relatively warm water makes it the perfect spot to spend some time snorkeling. The beach is cleaned frequently and has nearby accommodations.
Las Cucharas is the most appealing of Costa Teguise's four beaches, says Lonely Planet. Home to the PWA World Windsurfing Championship of the Costa Teguise, it was built with tourists in mind. Breakwaters keep the ocean perfect for relaxing swims. Bars, restaurants and shops dot the shore to make sure that no need goes unmet. Dive schools and windsurfing camps are also available for those in search of a bit more than a nice tan or a cold beverage. The beach is roughly 2,100 feet long and is fully serviced by lifeguards, parking, buses and even lounge chair rentals.
El Jablillo is located in the northern part of the Costa Teguise area and also features dive schools and calm waters, thanks to its man-made breakwater. El Jablillo is also an excellent spot for sunbathing and relaxing on its spectacular white sand beach, where you can enjoy the day on a towel or one of the many lounge chairs available for rent. The entire beach is about 500 feet long and has restaurants and hotels nearby.
The smooth, golden sands of Bastián Beach are accented by thick stone walls and gardens running along the seaside boardwalk of Costa Teguise. It is about 1,230 feet long and also offers lounge chair rentals for beach-goers. The nearby bars and restaurants as well as a choice of accommodations make Bastián beach popular with tourists.
