How to Book a Train from Munich to Nuremberg

A journey from Munich to Nuremberg takes just over an hour on Germany's high-speed inter-city express (ICE) train with no changes of train required. Both second and first class tickets are available on the ICE, while travelers can also take advantage of discounted ticket prices for children under the age of 15, while youngsters between birth and five-years-old enjoy further discounts.

      Visit the German national Bahn (train) website at Bahn.com. Click on the German flag marked "Deutschland" to change the language of the text on the homepage and all subsequent pages to English by scrolling down and clicking on "UK/Ireland."

      Type "Munich" or "Munchen" into the top box in the journey planner on the top left side of the screen. Type Nuremberg into the second box, immediately beneath the first one. Specify whether or not you need a single or return ticket by clicking the relevant radio buttons before choosing the dates and time you wish to travel. Indicate whether or not you wish to travel on the high-speed ICE service or local transport by clicking one of the relevant radio buttons. Enter the number of passengers using the three drop-down boxes for adults, children aged 6 to 14 and children aged 0 to 5. Indicate whether or not you possess any kind of Bahn travel card before detailing whether you wish to travel first or second class and clicking "Search" to generate your results.

Enter your delivery requirements --- you can choose to print your own ticket online or, if you are traveling in at least eight days, order your tickets to be delivered to your residence.
