This woolen mill, located on the banks of the Avoca River, opened in 1723. The still-functioning mill is one of Ireland's oldest manufacturers and they specialize in weaving fine fabrics for clothing and interior items. Visitors can take a tour of the mill and observe the production process, from washing, carding and spinning raw wool to dyeing and weaving the spun yarn into fabric. After touring the production facility, visitors can wander through the mill's original whitewash building, which houses an Avoca store that stocks woven items from the mill as well as artisinal foods and other items. A cafe that serves home-baked goods and lunches made from fresh local ingredients can also be found.

The park is also home to a monastic site with a 1000 year old round tower and a number of ruins dating as far back as the sixth century. Visitors who want to take in Glendalough's sites by car can choose from a number of scenic driving routes, each of which winds past some of Glendalough and County Wicklow's most notable landmarks. In addition to its great vistas and monastic site, the park offers a range of outdoor activities, such as horseback riding, fishing, cycling and hiking.
