Did Vasco Nunez de Balboa discover Spain?

Vasco Núñez de Balboa was a Spanish explorer, governor, and conquistador. He is best known for having crossed the Isthmus of Panama in 1513, becoming the first European to see the Pacific Ocean from the American mainland.

Spain was not discovered by Vasco Nunez de Balboa. It is generally believed that the Phoenicians were the first people to reach Spain, around 1100 BC. The Greeks then arrived in the 6th century BC and the Romans in the 2nd century BC.
