What region of Texas were the slaves?

There were slaves throughout the state of Texas, but the majority were in the eastern and southern regions. This is because these areas were more developed and had larger plantations. The largest slaveholding counties in Texas were Harris County, Brazoria County, and Fort Bend County. These counties were located in the southeastern part of the state.
