The Heartland Resort features more than 150 shaded campsites. For the children, there is a video game room at the Heartland Resort. A pavilion and banquet facilities can be rented for events. Campers can enjoy the use of an 18-hole miniature golf course. No license is required to fish on the campground's lake; there is also a sandy beach for those who prefer to swim. There is an indoor swimming pool on the premises. Take care of your laundry at the on-site laundromat. A small shop sells camping essentials and snacks.
The Heartland Resort is open year-round. It offers daily, weekly, monthly and seasonal rates and has water and electric hookups for both tents and recreational vehicles. Some campsites have phone hookups, but there is also a public phone on the premises. Local pizza parlors will deliver to the campground. Ice and firewood also are available.
The resort caters mainly to family campers, though all are welcome. Upon arrival, campers and guests are required to register at the Heartland Resort's reception desk. Heartland Resort does not permit fireworks, firearms or any other sort of weapon. Alcohol use is not permitted in public areas. Tents are not allowed on the lakeside.
The Heartland Resort does not offer rain checks or refunds so be sure to come prepared for all weather conditions. Campers will be charged $4 for each guest older than 5. On the campgrounds, the speed limit is 10 mph. Only campers are permitted to fish in the lake. Pets are allowed, but they are not permitted on the beach and must be attended to at all times. Smoking is not permitted in any of the campsite's buildings including the restrooms.
