Who was Ivanna Rose from Guatemala?

Ivanna Batchelor (2000–2006) is a Guatemalan girl whose death in 2006 raised public awareness about the exploitation of the poor and the country's rampant drug problem. She was the daughter of a prostitute who was reportedly working for a powerful drug cartel. Ivanna died at age 6 on 13 April 2006; her body showed clear signs of physical abuse. She was initially buried next to her mother in a cemetery but was later exhumed and reburied in a separate location due to public outrage.
