According to the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA)/AECOM Theme Index Report, Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington welcomed an estimated 3.3 million guests in 2018, ranking it the second-most-visited theme park in Texas behind SeaWorld San Antonio (approx. 3.8M).

The park, opened in 1961 as the first Six Flags property, spans 212 acres and features 45+ rides including landmark coasters: Texas Giant (hybrid hypercoaster), Titan (hypercoaster), Joker (4D free-fly), and New Texas Giant (RMC conversion). Seasonal events—Fright Fest, Holiday in the Park—drive off-peak attendance.

Attendance fluctuates annually based on weather, new attractions, economic conditions, and regional competition (e.g., SeaWorld, Schlitterbahn, upcoming Universal Kids Resort). 2018 was a strong year; 2020–2021 saw COVID impacts; 2022–2023 rebounded but TEA reports lag.
