• This event takes place during March, and it is a fundraiser for the Cancer Society of New Zealand. The tour will open up homes and gardens in Auckland, Christchurch, Matakana/Omaha and Wellington, but participants will only be able visit the properties in one particular location. For example, if a person signs up for the Christchurch event, they will only visit properties in this town. Nearly 40 properties will be open for viewing. This event is sponsored by the NZ House and Garden website, and tickets must be bought in advance.

New Zealand Garden Tour

• This is a 12-day garden and home tour that takes visitors from Auckland through Christchurch, and travelers will also attend the Ellerslie International Flower Show. The tour is guided by Australian garden designer and horticulturalist, Kevin Walsh, and he will point out and talk about species within the garden. The price of the tour includes 11 breakfasts, three lunches,three teas and 10 dinners, and it also includes the price of admission to all events. Gardens that will be visited include Auckland Domain Wintergardens, Longlands Dairy Farm, Taupo Museum's the Garden of Wellbeing and the Wellington Botanic Gardens. Visitors will also tour the Oruawharo Homestead, where they will have tea with fine china and view classic architecture. Besides planned events, there will be some free evenings for participants to dine where they would like.

Auckland Garden Tour

• This tour features the gardens of New Zealand, and this is a five-day tour that takes visitors throughout the Auckland area. Visitors will travel by bus to the destinations. All bus fees and meals are included in the price. Travelers will visit country, private and sub-tropical gardens, and they will also stop at a winery to sample wines and learn about the area where the grapes are grown. Gardens that will be visited include West Lynn Garden, Twin Lakes country garden, Haununi Farm, Eden Garden and Tawari Gardens.
