The Average Monthly Temperature in the Sonoran Desert

The Sonoran Desert encompasses an area of approximately 100,000 square miles, including parts of Arizona, California, Sonora, Baja California and islands in the Gulf of California.     • In fall, the Sonoran remains warm, with low humidity and little rain (although some coastal regions receive rainfall from tropical storms in the Pacific). Temperatures range from 70 to 95 degrees Fahrenheit.

    Winter Temperatures

    • Winter days in the Sonoran are usually sunny and mild, with sparse snowfall. Temperatures commonly range from 40 to 70 degrees, with rare dips to 32 degrees and below.
