In July and August, the warmest months, the average high temperature reaches about 87 degrees while the low is about 78.
October is the rainiest month in St. Maarten. The island receives on average 4.4 inches during the month. February and March are the driest months, receiving about 1 1/2 inches of rain each.
St. Maarten is an island with a heavy population of tourists. The dress code is casual and shorts are acceptable in most places outside the finer dining establishments. The local population is modest, however, and swimwear is only appropriate on the beach.
