Gay Bars in Boston

Boston's gay bars offer plenty of diversity. The city is home to a gay sports bar, bars for the bear and leather crowds and cabaret. The South End has several gay bars, but gay nightlife is found in other sections of the city as well. Most bars offer theme nights throughout the week. Some bars are combined with nightclubs and some offer a full dining experience.

    • Ramrod is Boston's gay leather bar. The dress code is strictly enforced and posted on the bar's website. Ramrod also has a strict security policy. Ramrod has DJs on Tuesday through Sunday nights. The bar is available for private parties.

    Club Café

    • Club Café is a bar, restaurant, nightclub and cabaret located in the South End. The cabaret features live acts including female impersonators. Club Café's nightclub hosts theme nights, including Musical Mondays and Mayhem Saturday. The restaurant features a prix fixe menu and gives a discount to patrons of theater shows.
