The Connection is an LGBT entertainment venue, bar, and club located in downtown Louisville. The entertainment complex has nightly events, themes, and drink specials. It also hosts special events, parties and holiday celebrations. The Connection consists of several areas, each featuring different entertainment such as the Oz Dance Bar, LaBoy LaFemme Theater, and the D.O.C. Video Bar, which hosts the Best Butt Contest. Each area of Connection has a full-service bar open seven days a week. The Connection is a 21-year-old and up venue.

Starbase Q is a video bar in Louisville catering to the gay community. The bar hosts several karaoke nights, offers country western line dancing lessons on Thursday and Friday nights at 8, and is a Wi-Fi hot spot. Starbase Q's mission is to "provide a fun, informative and entertaining atmosphere in a clean and safe environment where all people can play, hope, dream, drink, dance, share and respectfully interact." The bar is open seven days a week for those age 21 years and up.

Boots is a Leather Bar located in conjunction with the LGBT entertainment venue, The Connection, in the downtown Louisville area. Boots offers nightly drink special and themes, and a full-service bar seven nights a week. Mondays the bar offers $3 well drinks to anyone dressed in leather. Tuesdays, they serve $5 pitchers of Budweiser and Bud Light. Wednesday is Hump Night, with several drink specials available, and Bare Chest Thursdays gets you half-priced wells. Friday and Saturdays, the bar hosts "The Hole" party, and Sundays are school nights with $1 drafts.
