Located in the northwestern part of the state, Reno, Nevada offers numerous gay bars throughout the city. While many of the bars are located in downtown Reno, others can be found throughout the city's limits. Many of the bars stay open late, some never close, and there are many different venues; from leather bars to video and dance bars.

Each month has a special theme; a past example is the Art of the Cocktail show, with related art pieces. The bar's menu includes signature drinks such as the Mandarin Bliss, which consists of Mandarin Absolut Vodka, peach schnapps and both cranberry and orange juices.The bar is open 24 hours a day.
Open 24 hours a day from Friday through Monday, and from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. Tuesday through Thursday, the Ten99 Club offers a constantly changing schedule of shows to ensure that a new event is always taking place. Some events include Potluck and Poker on Sundays, in which two games of Texas Hold 'Em are played for prizes, and patrons share various dishes with each other. Happy Hour occurs daily from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. On Fridays, specials include all-you-can-drink beer, well drinks and wine for $20. The bar also sponsors various charities and events, such as the High Sierra Gay Rodeo.
Carl's Pub attracts a predominantly male crowd and offers different theme nights throughout the week. Monday's happy hour extends all day, while Tuesdays are known as Underwear Night, in which men wearing only underwear receive happy hour prices from 8 p.m. until last call. Wednesdays are known as Bare Chest Wednesdays and offer happy hour prices to men without shirts. Thursday's special is two shots for the price of one and Fridays and Saturdays are Leather Nights, featuring the drink special of two well drinks for the price of one. Apart from drink specials, Carl's Pub provides pool tables, poker slot machines and video games, and also sells leather merchandise.
Tronix, a video and music bar, allows those 18 years or older to enter, but you must be 21 to drink. Every day of the week has a different drink special. Sundays offer $3 domestic beers, while Martini Tuesdays have $5 martinis from 9 p.m. until 3 a.m. Karaoke takes place on Wednesdays from 10 p.m. until 2 a.m., and Fridays and Saturdays are known for the late night dance party, lasting until sunrise the following morning. There is no cover charge for these nights.

As the name suggests, the bar's patio is one of its primary attractions, and includes activities such as barbecues and bocce ball.
