The average high temperature during those months ranges between 86 and 92 degrees, with average lows only dipping into the low 70s. Rain gear is a necessity when camping in Lake George from June through September. Each of these months brings an average of at least six inches of rain.
If Lake George and its boating, fishing, swimming and other water activities are not enough for visitors to the area, there are many other attractions in the area. Located about five miles below the south end of the lake, the Lake George National Forest offers hiking, biking and other outdoor activities.
