Meramec Riverboat

• Meramec Caverns, a huge cave where Jesse James used to hide out, offers a 30-minute cruise on a riverboat down the Meramac River. Rides are available from April through September, weather-permitting, according to the website. Meramac is located in Stanton, which is 60 miles west of St. Louis on Interstate 44. According to the website, reservations for cavern tours are only required for groups of 15 or more. However, the boats are limited to 25 passengers.
