Chicago Party Cruises

For those interested in dining, drinking and dancing while taking in the fantastic sights of the Chicago skyline along the city's lakefront, the Windy City offers several party cruises that provide good times for visitors and residents alike. The city has three major lines (Spirit, Odyssey and Mystic Blue) with night cruises during the summertime for nocturnal residents and visitors. All boats depart from Navy Pier.
  1. Spirit of Chicago

    • Boarding just after midnight on Saturdays (and some Fridays), Spirit's Moonlight Cruise takes passengers along the coastline of Lake Michigan on a triple-decker boat that accommodates up to 600 people. The cruise includes live DJs with Top 40 dance hits, light hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar. Formal attire is encouraged. Approximate duration is two hours.

    • Every Friday and Saturday during the summertime, Odyssey's Moonlight Lounge Cruise provides the expected breathtaking lakefront views on its triple-decker 750-passsenger craft. Each climate-controlled deck has a dance floor with its own type of music. Typical cruises include a solo jazz performer on one level, a live dance band on another and contemporary favorites on the third. The galley also serves a "moonlight menu" with vegetable crudités, spring rolls, garlic bread and buffalo chicken tenders. Also note the cruise line also has themed party cruises such as a "Latin Moonlight Cruise" and "Gay Pride Moonlight Cruise" on certain weekends. Business casual attire is recommended. Chicago Yacht Party

    • If you want to celebrate in a big way on Lake Michigan or the Chicago River, Chicago Yacht Party organizes chartered cruises for all occasions including birthday parties, cocktail receptions, corporate events and even New Year's Eve. Events can be organized completely on board the yacht or can be kicked off with a dock party. Routes, boarding times, food and beverages are all chosen by the customer. While this option is quite a bit more expensive than partying on a standard cruise line, it is the perfect way to celebrate a major event in style.
