Dundee, Michigan is a village located in the southeastern part of the state. It's only 17 miles outside of Ohio and can be reached via U.S. Route 23.

    • The village of Dundee has 4,186 residents, as of 2010. It's only 3.5 square miles, and is located in Monroe County, which has a total population of 154,814 people, as of 2010. The village is 17 miles south of Ann Arbor, and is a 40 minute drive from Detroit, Michigan.

    The Old Mill

    • Dundee's most famous landmark is known as the Old Mill. It was built in 1848, and operated as a grist mill until 1910. From then until 1923, it was used to create hydro-electricity for the village. Henry Ford purchased it in 1935, and used it in the manufacturing of auto parts until 1954. Now, it is a museum and community center for the village.

    Tourism

    • Dundee was once the home of auto parts manufacturing, thanks to Henry Ford. These days it is best known for its retail shops and restaurants that cater to outdoorsmen. Dundee has five local parks, and is part of the Ford Heritage Trail.
