Ski Dubai is the biggest indoor ski resort in the world and has snow all year. It has five ski runs that range in difficulty. There are ski runs for the inexperienced skier to beginning skiers. Ski equipment is available for use.
The desert safari includes a ride in a 4-wheel drive vehicle through the desert slopes and ends at a campsite offering dinner, shisha (Arabic water pipe with various flavors), the opportunity to dress in authentic Arab apparel, camel riding and henna tattoos. The driver makes a stop halfway through the drive to allow tourist to try sand boarding. The safari begins late afternoon, goes into the night, and includes a traditional Arabic dinner and show featuring a live belly dancer. You can purchase cocktails at an additional charge.
The Gold Souk is located in Bur Dubai. There are hundreds of retailers selling everything from white to pink gold. You can request a custom-made piece of jewelry and they will make it. Gold is regulated in Dubai so you can rest assured it is real. Import duties are low and gold is tax-free making Dubai one of the cheapest places to buy gold in the world.
Dubai dinner cruises sail daily along the Dubai Creek with the sparkling lights of the city in view. The cruise is aboard a Dhow (Arabic boat) and last about three hours. Dinner is buffet style and includes unlimited water, soft drinks and coffee. Alcoholic beverages can be purchased at an additional charge. The cruise includes a show performed by belly dancers and Arab men and women wearing vibrant clothes dancing and singing to Arabic music played by a live band.
The Dubai city tour provides a glimpse of both modern and old Dubai. Stops include the Dubai museum with ancient artifacts and a replica of a Dhow. The tour includes stops at the gold and spice souks, a view of the Sheik's palace and Ski Dubai. The city tour takes you to the marina where street performers perform and you can purchase souvenirs from local vendors. A visit to the Jumeirah Mosque is part of the tour and is the only mosque in Dubai that allows non-Muslims to enter.
