What is the area of Humboldt Bay?

Humboldt Bay is a bay located on the coast of Northern California. It is formed by the mouth of the Eel River and encompasses a total area of approximately 22 square miles (57 square kilometers). The bay is made up of several smaller bays, including Arcata Bay, Eureka Bay, and South Bay, and stretches from the towns of Arcata and Eureka in the south to the town of Samoa in the north. The entrance to the bay is marked by the prominent headland of Point St. George.
