Seasons of the Great Barrier Reef
The Great Barrier Reef experiences two distinct seasons:
- Wet Season (Nov–Apr): Warm (25–32°C), humid, with tropical storms, heavy rain, and freshwater influx. Triggers plankton blooms, coral spawning, and high marine-life activity.
- Dry Season (May–Oct): Cooler (21–27°C), stable weather, clearer water, minimal rain. Peak season for snorkeling and diving due to excellent visibility.
Both seasons offer unique ecological spectacles.
