What type of government did Britain have from 1850-1913?

Britain had a constitutional monarchy from 1850-1913. This means that the monarch, Queen Victoria (1837-1901) and later King Edward VII (1901-1910) and King George V (1910-1936), was head of state, but the government was led by a Prime Minister, who was the leader of the majority party in the House of Commons. The Prime Minister was responsible for appointing other ministers and overseeing the government's policies.
