Why there rainforests in British Isles?

There are no rainforests in the British Isles. The climate in the British Isles is temperate oceanic, with mild temperatures and high humidity. The annual average temperature is around 10 °C (50 °F), and the average annual rainfall is around 1,000 mm (39 in). These conditions are not suitable for the growth of rainforests, which require a tropical climate with high temperatures and abundant rainfall.
