Where is Virginia located in the US?

Virginia is located in the southeastern region of the US, known as the Mid-Atlantic region. It is bordered by Maryland and the District of Columbia to the north, the Atlantic Ocean to the east, North Carolina and Tennessee to the south, and West Virginia and Kentucky to the west.
