FairPoint Communications Missouri? Doesn't Exist

There is no entity named "FairPoint Communications Missouri."

FairPoint Communications, Inc. was a northern New England / northern Midwest telecom carrier (headquartered in Charlotte, NC) serving Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, and parts of New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Illinois — not Missouri.

Timeline:

• 2007: Spun off from Verizon (northern NE lines).
• 2017: Acquired by Consolidated Communications (IL-based).
• Brand retired; operations merged into Consolidated.

Missouri's primary ILECs (incumbent local exchange carriers) are AT&T (legacy SBC), CenturyLink/Lumen, and numerous rural cooperatives.

If you're tracing a specific number or service in Missouri, check NANPA (npanxx.com) or the Missouri Public Service Commission for the certified carrier.
