Air Shows in Baltimore, Maryland

Baltimore, Maryland, has a population of more than 637,000 people, as of 2011. It is home to the American Visionary Art Museum and the Babe Ruth Birthplace Museum. It also holds annual events such as the Caribbean Carnival Festival and the Maryland Traditions Folk Festival.     • The Thunderbirds and Gold Knights are two of the main headliner performances for the Joint Service Open House and Air Show in Andrews. At past events, MH-53 Sea Dragon, P-40 and MV-22 static displays and A-10 Thunderbolts and F/A-18 Hornets performances have joined them. The Blue Angels lead the performances at the Patuxent River Air Expo in Patuxent River; the Trojan Horsemen, the Wounded Warriors Flight team and Radio Active flyers often join them. The OC Air Show in Ocean City includes Red Bull Helicopter and a B-2 Steal Bomber aerial performances, as well as U.S. Coast Guard and A-10 Warthog demonstrations.

    Admission

    • While admission and parking are free to the Joint Service Open House and the Patuxent River Air Expo, only basic viewing from the beach area is free for the OC Air Show. Attendees wanting better views or VIP treatment and amenities can purchase tickets that cover one or two days of the event. Both the Patuxent River Air Expo and OC Air Show have Kidzone areas with special children's events and activities.

    Special Events

    • Live entertainment occurs throughout the day at the Patuxent River Air Expo and attendees can purchase food, drinks, and memorabilia at stalls and booths. The OC Air Show includes a Saturday night beach party with U.S. Navy Seals and 101st Airborne Division demonstrations.

    • The Patuxent River Air Expo takes place closest to Baltimore, at 90 miles away in the area of Patuxent River, Maryland, on the Naval Air Station Patuxent River.
