Celebrity Circle is located in central Myrtle Beach, about a 15-minute drive from the beach itself. There are several family-friendly attractions located on this circle. The Myrtle Beach Promenade will be home to an exciting new attraction as of June 2011: The Sky Wheel (skywheelusa.com). The Sky Wheel features 42 enclosed gondolas which can each hold up to six people. The revolving Wheel stands 18 stories high and allows visitors a spectacular view of the waterfront. The Promenade is also the site of numerous summertime festivities including a 'Kids Carnival' every Monday night and fireworks on Wednesdays.
Myrtle Waves (myrtlewaves.com) is a water park in Myrtle Beach that has numerous activities for family members of all ages. The water park features a "LayZee River," which is ideal for younger family members and those who want to relax and drift around the park in an inner tube. There is also a "Racin' River" on which you can ride on a board at 10 miles per hour. There are several water slides, a wave pool and "Bubble Bay," an area suitable for toddlers.
The Family Kingdom (familykingdomfun.com) is located near the oceanfront in Myrtle Beach. Featuring an amusement park and a water park, this is an ideal location for family fun. The amusement park features roller coasters and the largest ferris wheel in South Carolina. Other attractions include go-karts, bumper cars and a carousel. The water park features water slides, a lazy river and splash pools for young children.
