Banning is unique in that it also offers full-furnished RV rentals and park models for people who don't own an RV. The campground has 95 full-hook-up, pull-through and back-in sites for those traveling in RVs, and the setups are large -- ideal for groups and larger rigs. Wi-Fi is available throughout the campground, and campers traveling with pets have a special dog run for their exercise and entertainment.

    Members-Only Camping

    • Silent Valley Club RV Resort offers its members extremely cheap per-night camping options. Silent Valley is set on 460 acres of land in the San Jacinto Mountains, and is designed to appeal to families and groups. Amenities include guided nature hikes, an arcade room, a fishing pond, heated swimming pools, saunas, Wi-Fi, laundry facilities, a restaurant, a tennis court and a basketball court. Membership in this club means that you literally own part of the campground, and that pride of ownership has resulted in a small town ambiance. If you aren’t sure about making that commitment to camping, Silent Valley welcomes people to do a test run of the resort.

    Family-Owned Park

Shops and restaurants are nearby, while Palm Springs and Riverside are only 30 minutes away. Country Hills has 80 sites, many of them pull-through, and it is designed to handle large rigs of up to 60 feet. Guests have access to a swimming pool and a spa. Laundry facilities are available, as is Wi-Fi throughout the campground.

    Park Camping

    • Bogart Park is in Cherry Valley, approximately 8 miles outside of Banning. Set on 400 acres of forested parkland, visitors enjoy mountain views, a pond and open meadow space from their 26 RV and tent sites. The camping portion of the park has picnic areas as well as barbecues. Biking, hiking and running trails, including an 8-mile loop in the foothills, are popular, and the park is very equestrian friendly, with horseback riding trails, watering troughs and stalls available.
