The museum is located in Milville, New Jersey which is ten minutes drive from Vineland. As of 2011, from April to December the admission is from $7 to $10 and the other months of the year admission is free with operating hours from 10am to 5pm Tuesday through Sunday.
Plan a day in the outdoors with your kids at Pavin State Park. The park is located five minutes to the west of Vineland. It is open year round from sunrise to sunset. This park has several trails that you can walk or ride your bicycle through while experiencing the natural environment of southern New Jersey. Additionally, there is a large lake at this park which is ideal for taking your kids fishing, swimming, canoeing and boating.
If you have older children, you can spend the morning or afternoon at one of the local golf courses for less than $20 a person as of 2011. The Eastlyn Golf Course offers one 18-hole golf course that you can walk or ride. The greens are rather small and the fairways are narrow which makes for a challenging day. There are several other nearby golf courses that are less than 30 minutes away from Vineland.
Your kids may decide to experience Vineland, New Jersey from indoors instead of outdoors. In this town, there is an ice arena that hosts the Patriots hockey team. The Vineland Ice Arena offers games to attend during November through March time period. Or, you can take your kids to one of the latest movies playing at the Regal Cumberland Mall 14 in East Vineland. This theater is conveniently located next to the Cumberland mall where your kids can take in a movie and shop at their favorite store later.
