Wanderlust World Wanderlust World Fairfield Resorts was a vacation ownership company that dealt with timeshare property around the country. Wyndham Hotels and Resorts bought Fairfield Resorts, so now all the Fairfield property belongs to Wyndham. Wyndham has four resort options in the state of Virginia, and all of them are on or near the coast.
Wyndham's Kingsgate is located less than a mile from historic Williamsburg. A discount store is within walking distance of the resort, along with an outlet shopping mall, two grocery stores and some chain restaurants within two miles of Kingsgate. Amenities include two outdoor pools, outdoor hot tub, indoor pool, movie theater, game room and miniature golf. The resort also has exercise equipment and two tennis courts. Nearby activities include a lake with boating, jet skiing and fishing, hiking trails and live entertainment. The Kingsgate resort is furnished in the style of the Colonial period.
Wyndham's Governer's Green is located near Colonial Williamsburg. Governor's Green is the only Williamsburg resort by Wyndham that has a four-bedroom presidential suite option. Guests enjoy a five to ten-minute drive away from a grocery store, restaurants, shopping and live entertainment. Governor's Green is a non-smoking resort. Guest amenities include a tennis court, indoor hot tub, two playgrounds, two outdoor pools, exercise equipment and a game room. Adults who want a break from the children have an adults-only pool and hot tub that is gated from the other pools. Governor's Green also has a day spa and miniature golf.
Patriots' Place is located approximately one mile away from historical Williamsburg. The grounds for this Wyndham resort used to be a golf course. Patriots' Place also is a non-smoking resort, and it is State Green Certified, implementing ideas like the Ozone Laundry System and lower carbon dioxide output. Within a five-mile radius of the resort, guests have access to an outlet mall, two grocery stores and more than 100 restaurants. Amenities include an outdoor swimming pool, basketball court, playground and picnic area. Guests have access to the game room and movie theater at Kingsgate.
Old Town Alexandria is ten minutes away from Washington, DC, in Alexandria. Guest rooms include one-bedroom suites with a mini kitchen and two-bedroom deluxe suites will full kitchens. Some of these suites have a whirlpool tub in the master bedroom. This Wyndham resort is within two minutes' walking distance of the Metro to the nation's capital. Resort services include assistance with nearby attractions and tickets, complimentary wireless internet in the lobby and laundry facilities, while guests enjoy indoor swimming pools, a fitness center, game room and activities programs. One public golf course is within three miles of the resort.
