Draffenville is a small, unincorporated community within the Benton, Kentucky postal area situated at the intersection of the Julian M. Carroll Purchase Highway and U.S. Routes 641 and 68. Draffenville is known mainly for bass fishing. There are several motels in the vicinity, allowing visitors convenient access to Kentucky Lake and other area attractions such as the Kentucky Opry House, Forgotten Past, a popular area theme park, and three golf courses: Benton Golf Course, Birmingham Pointe and Marvel Golf Club.
Formerly known as the Shamrock Inn, this small, 25-room motel is located eight miles from Kentucky Lake. This simple motel offers few amenities other than a warm bed and a television, but it is clean, comfortable and inexpensive. It has no restaurant nor room service, but there is a McDonalds and a Wendy's within a mile of the motel as well as a Walmart. This motel allows pets.
Formally a Holiday Inn Express, this motel is located off of Interstate 24 near several area attractions including Kentucky Lake and Land Between the Lakes Recreational Park. The Sportsman's Lodge is located on Jonathan's Creek at Kentucky Lake, and is home to the annual Bass World Classic Tournament.
