Although the décor suggests an upscale establishment, Brio Tuscan Grille is kid and family friendly.

    Stir Crazy

    • Stir Crazy brings the kitchen out to the guests. Chefs prepare all meals at the tables. Specialties include the blazing noodles with steak as well as Asian-inspired dishes, including Vietnamese, Thai, Japanese and Chinese cuisine. Stir Crazy offers dishes with less than 500 calories. No formal dress codes or reservations are required. Large parties are welcome.

    Maggiano’s Little Italy

    • Sponsored by the Student Affairs Council, the Friday weekly shuttle from John Carroll University takes students to Beachwood Place, a plaza located minutes away from the university. Guests of Maggiano’s Little Italy are treated to meals by executive chef Brian Clark and his staff. Seating within the restaurant can accommodate banquets, large parties or a dinner for two. The dress code is casual and no reservations are required. Specialties of Maggiano’s Little Italy include Taylor Street baked ziti, Mom’s lasagna, chicken parmesan, rigatoni “D,” and pepperoni and arugula flatbread. Dining specials include a family-style meal for four or more, consisting of two courses plus dessert and drinks.

    Michael Symon’s B Spot

    • Located south of John Carroll University on Chagrin Boulevard is Eton plaza, a destination filled with shops, nightlife and dining. Michael Symon’s B Spot offers inexpensive meals featuring The Fat Doug, a hamburger topped with pastrami, Swiss cheese and coleslaw. Other specialties include bratwurst, fried bologna and big salads. Reservations are not required. Michael Symon’s B Spot seats guests on a first come, first served basis. The alcohol selection offered at Michael Symon’s B Spot includes American beers, regional selections and microbrews. Vegetarian options are provided for guests as an alternative to traditional meat-based dishes.
