East Amana is a community of German ancestry in Iowa, about 105 miles east of Des Moines. The largest of the Amana Colonies, the city of Amana, Iowa was established in 1855. The Colonies are a National Historic Landmark situated in the Iowa River Valley. The community offers visitors original architecture, wine tasting, antique shops, local crafts and Iowa's oldest micro-brewery. There are a number of resorts nearby that allow guests to explore this historical place.
The 100 percent smoke-free Clarion Inn Amana Colonies and Wasserbahn Waterpark Resort is located south of East Amana in nearby Williamsburg and houses 144 guest rooms. The Wasserbahn Waterpark, the Village Winery and a convenience store are all located on site. Near the resort are several attractions, including the Herbert Hoover Presidential Library and Museum, Coral Ridge Mall and the Tanger Outlet Center.

The Americinn of Coralville is located in the heart of the Corridor area, due east and near Iowa City, offering similar accommodation options to the Americinn Lodge and suites at Cedar Rapids. The hotel only serves breakfast, but is located close to a number of restaurants including Buffalo Wild Wings Sports Bar, Texas Roadhouse, Red Lobster and Steak N' Shake.
