Nashoba is a small town in Pushmataha County in eastern Oklahoma known for its abundance of lakes, streams, rivers and creeks. Nashoba is near Clayton Lake State Park, a 500-acre park providing many recreational activities including fishing, hiking, camping and swimming. There are many hotels available in nearby towns.
The Clayton Country Inn provides a rustic getaway from the stress of daily life. The inn has nine large guest rooms and two apartments with living room, kitchenette, fireplace and bedrooms. The great room has a natural rock fireplace, chairs, sofas, a television and views of Clayton Lake State Park. Freshly prepared meals, such as steaks, chicken, fresh salads, breads, and pastries are served in the great room.
Locally owned and operated, the Sardis Lake Cabins is located on the western tip of the Onachita-Kiamichi Mountains in Clayton. Sardis Lake Cabins has four motel rooms and three cabins available. There is also a lodge available for rent complete with a commercial-sized kitchen, two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a living room with entertainment area. It is advised to make reservations in advance as rooms fill up quickly, especially on holidays and weekends. The establishment only accepts cash and a deposit may be required for first-time guests.
Bigfoot Cabin is a single cabin available for rent. It has three bedrooms with room to sleep up to nine people. The cabin features flat screen televisions, fireplace, central heat and air, rustic decor, an outdoor fire pit and a built-in gas grill. Reservations are required and military discount pricing is offered. The cabin is two miles from Clayton Lake.
The Peckerwood Knob Cabins are located in Smithville, a short drive from Nashoba. Located off Hwy. 259, the cabins offer furnished rooms in rustic style with the modern comforts of home. There are charcoal grills on-site along with central heat and air in each cabin. Wildlife is plentiful surrounding the cabin and there are many outdoor activities in the surrounding areas, such as mountain biking, hiking, ATV trails, and fishing.
