New York Travel Destinations & Hotels

New York State is most often associated with the city of New York, which is affectionately known as the "Big Apple." The city is divided into five different boroughs and each is distinctly different from one another. While the city has many places to visit, the state of New York is also worth exploring, especially during fall when the leaves in upstate begin to change color.

  1. Thousand Islands Seaway Wine Trail

    • If you are keen on exploring destinations in the state of New York then The Thousand Islands Seaway Wine Trail is a good starting point. It is comprised of three wineries and 19 vineyards and individuals or groups are welcome to take the tour of all three wineries to sample the locally-produced wine. The trail is more than just about wine as guests are taken 78 miles through sections of scenic Jefferson County and the whole tour only takes one day to complete.

    Holiday Inn Express Hotel

    • Located 27 miles from the location of the Thousand Islands Seaway Wine Trail is the Holiday Inn Express Hotel. The hotel in-room amenities include Wi-Fi, TV with cable and work desk.     Central Park

    • The city of New York has a wealth of interesting destinations to explore, but one location that is truly unique for a city of its size is Central Park. The park is open year-round, but is more appealing during the spring and summer months. It is 843 acres in size and contains a zoo, sculptures musicians, statues and street performers. Sitting in the heart of Manhattan, the park has become a meeting placing for residents and visitors, connecting the five boroughs together.
