The Velvet Room is a nightclub located in Atlanta, Georgia, that hosts special themed events each week. In January 2007, the Velvet Room opened at the new 3378 Chamblee Tucker Rd location, after closing down four years previously.
An annual event is the New Years Eve party hosted on December 31 of each year. Passes and tickets are required for entrance into the club and to these special events. Email passes are available through the official Website for public events.
The Velvet Room declares itself to be the "sexiest club in Atlanta." The Velvet Room is owned and operated by the Gidwon Group, which created the Gidwon Foundation in 2004. This charity gives back to at-risk youth in Atlanta.
The VIP lounge in the Velvet Room is referred to as Red Velvet. Over two million watts of lighting light this nightclub. The dance floor uses liquid nitrogen and is called the Nitrogen Liquid Ice Dance Floor.
