Fun Food Factories

Fun food factories are great for school field trips, tourist activities and family events. They are indicative of American culture.

  1. The Fortune Cookie Factory

    • The fortune cookie factory not only provides tours of the factory and how fortune cookies are made, but it also shows visitors how the fortune gets inside the cookie. Factory tours are only $1, and visitors are given a complimentary bag of fortune cookies.

    Jelly Belly Factory

    • More than 150 flavors of jelly beans are crafted at the Jelly Belly factory in Fairfield, California. The Herman Goelitz Candy Company owns and operates the factory and provides tours and activities that allow consumers to view just how the jelly beans are made and packaged. Also on site is the Jelly Belly Café for food and snacks.

    Hershey's Chocolate World

    • Hershey’s Chocolate World soared to worldwide popularity, and due to the overwhelming number of visitors, the attraction stopped offering walking tours through the factory, according to MSNBC. Now visitors are given free virtual tours via chocolate bean carts. The tour begins at a simulated tropical rainforest where cocoa beans are harvested and continues through a Hershey’s simulated chocolate factory.
