Stay fit as well as meet new people with Baltimore's Bike and Brunch group. Designed for Jewish singles of every age range, this activity group meets for weekly Sunday rides from April to mid-November within Maryland and Virginia. Rides can go from 20 to 60 miles in length, and on completion, the group gathers for brunch at a nearby eatery. An evening bike ride is also available to members who have extra time throughout the work week to meet and greet. Annual membership as of October 2010 is $25 and the riding calendar is available on the Bike and Brunch website.
If you've always wanted to sail the seas and meet new people, Singles on Sailboats is an organization that does just that. Run by volunteers and with over 700 members in the club, membership as of October 2010 is $80 annually and people without sailing skills are welcome to join. Most events with the club are day sails or extended cruises on the Chesapeake Bay. Some exotic locations for sailing are offered for members throughout the year, including events in Greece, Tonga and the Caribbean. Happy Hour events are also scheduled within the Baltimore area every second Thursday at a local bar.
Dance the night away with Baltimore's swing dance club. More than 200 people attend the Friday night dances, with events also held during the week, including swing, ballroom and Latin dancing classes. You don't need a partner to attend and admission is $12 as of October 2010, which includes a free dance class. Alcohol is not permitted and attendees must be 16 years or older.
