One layout, Teal Bend Golf Course, is a public 18-hole course spread over 250 acres. The championship layout, designed by Brad Bell and built in 1997, also has four sets of teeboxes. The USGA gave Teal Bend Golf Course a course rating of 71.7 with a slope of 129. Slope is a way to measure the difficulty of a course. The Teal Bend range is from 55 (lowest) to 155 (highest).

Funderland Children's Amusement Park is one of the several theme parks in Sacramento is . It is appropriate for children ages 2-12. Park admission is free, but you'll need to pay for ticket rides. Should you want to experience a variety of different animals, The Sacramento Zoo may be a good option with over 500 animals on 14.5 acres. The zoo, open since 1927, has over 140 species. Some animals you'll get to see include a snow leopard, a margay, a wallaby, zebra, axolotl, frogs, turtles, snakes, parrots and flamingos. The park offers three different overnight experiences where you and your child can sleep at the zoo, and classes for kids 3-5 where they can play games and get an up-close experience with one of the animals in addition to participating in games and crafts.
