A public, state-run facility, Cal Expo RV Park offers 177 sites for recreational vehicle camping. The spots feature gravel or are fully paved and each has a full patio. Sixty-five of the spots feature a pull-through design that eliminates the necessity of backing an RV into the site, and the largest spaces can accommodate vehicles up to 50 feet in length. All of the sites have full electric, water and sewage hookups, and free wireless Internet is available in many parts of the park. On-site amenities include restrooms, picnic areas, showers, telephones and laundry facilities. A sports bar is also located on the property, as is a large water park. The American River flows through the campground and is popular for freshwater fishing. Horsehoe pits and a game room are also offered for recreation.

Sacramento Shade RV Park is a privately owned campground for both short- and long-term stays. Of the 90 recreational vehicle spots, 25 are 40 feet in length and 65 are 30-36 feet in length. Concrete patios are found at every space. Each site has full water, electric and sewage connections as well as wireless Internet. Telephone and cable service are available at some of the sites, as is mail service for long-term guests. Restrooms, showers and laundry facilities are offered for guests' convenience. A heated, in-ground pool and an enclosed game room are both located on the property.

Wireless Internet is offered in some parts of the campground, and restrooms, showers, and laundry facilities are available on the property. The park has designated picnic areas with barbecue grills for outdoor dining as well as a recreation center with a full kitchen.
