RV Campgrounds in Novato, California

Located in Northern California's scenic Martin County, Novato-area recreational vehicle parks give campers a central place to stay while exploring all the region has to offer. Hiking trails and beaches are found west of the city at Point Reyes National Seashore. The California wine country is nearby, and the many attractions of San Francisco are approximately 30 minutes to south.

    • Eleven miles north of Novato, the San Francisco North/Petaluma KOA provides the best of both worlds—it's in a rural area, but is just 34 miles north of San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge. Its 312 RV sites offer full hook-ups with 50-amp electric availability, and a maximum pull-through length of 65 feet. The park also has cabins and tent sites. Standard amenities include restrooms and showers. Cable TV is available for a fee, and free wireless Internet is provided.

      For relaxation and entertainment during the summer, the campground offers a pool and spa, a recreation program, an inflatable water slide, a large playground, karaoke nights, hayrides and live music on the weekends. Young children will enjoy the KOA's petting farm. Campers can also rent bikes.

    Novato RV Park

    • The Novato RV Park has received high marks from the Good Sam and Woodall's RV park review sites. Campers will find full hook-up RV sites with 30- or 50-amp electrical connections and free basic cable TV, but a fee for wireless Internet access. The park features a convenience store and deli, a pool that is open during the warmer months, and a picnic area for barbecuing. There's a dog-walking area and a large laundry room. The park offers a fee-for-use dump station on the grounds. Campers can sign up for daily, weekly or monthly rates.

    Marin Park

    • Marin Park, 14 miles south of Novato in Greenbrae, promotes itself as the closest RV park to the Golden Gate Bridge: a bus and ferry service into San Francisco is just a 10-minute walk away. Situated in an open area, Marin Park has RV sites that include water, sewer, electric hook-ups (up to 50 amps) and cable TV. There's a swimming pool, pets are welcome and computers and Internet access are available at the park office. The campground has showers, restrooms and a dump station. Camping in tents is not allowed. Daily, weekly and extended-stay rates are offered.
