Napa, California, is home to some of the best wineries in the world. The city is surrounded by mountains full of redwoods and trails. Even though there are not a lot of campgrounds in the Napa area, you'll find a few options. No matter where camping is available, many of the attractions are close by, such as the Napa Wine Train, Napa Valley Museum or the Petrified Forest.
Skyline Wilderness Park sits on the edge of Napa in the midst of the wineries and forest of Northern California. The campground provides 20 tent sites with some fire pits and few outdoor toilets. There are 39 sites for RV camping, 19 of those sites have full hookups, and the other 20 sites provide water and electricity only. The park also provides access to showers. The area offers several hiking trails as well as designated mountain biking trails. Skyline also has 10 sites for horse camping with enough room for two horses and two trailers plus water. Fifteen miles of horse riding trails blanket the mountains and valley.
