Airstream Campgrounds in California

Airstream trailers were first created in 1929, when inventor Wally Byam converted his Model T Ford into a trailer with an ice chest and a kerosene stove and towed it to a campsite. Characterized by its streamlined silver shape and distinctive retro-style, the Airstream went into full production in 1932 and has been a favorite of RV campers ever since.
